Re: colonialist apologia in the game, have you found the York plotline where you find out an evil Saxon abbess is burning manuscripts. It seemed a classic example of shifting blame for an atrocity from the coloniser to the colonised.

The Abbess was Norse, not Saxon. Her name was Ingeborg.
