not certain I agree on b) at this point, I'd say the majority are considerably more stable than US but there's some relative outliers that are extremely unstable

Kind of hard to view stability based just on the last four years though, that’s a micro answer to a macro question. Fundamentally US politics looks pretty similar in 50-100 year chunks. With a few 5-10 years blips in history. We’re the oldest constitutional republic after all
