These guys were all really gung-ho about 'criminals go to prison' before November, suddenly they're all "well, let's think about healing and reconciliation." I wonder what changed. Almost like they all did some crimes they're suddenly worried about.

Thucydides has a great line about stasis, "revenge was held better than avoiding hurt in the first place and oaths of reconciliation, being offered only to meet a current setback, held good only while there was no other weapon to hand." About right, I think.
