This is (unsurpsingly) my first AIA-SCS--I'm extremely overwhelmed and spoiled for choice, but very excited to dive in! (Any tips/tricks/guidelines/secret handshakes would be much appreciated!)
Attend the papers you find interesting, or think will be valuable to you. Don't feel that you have to attend 'everything.' Give yourself permission to skip some sessions.

The first SCS i went to I ended up giving myself permission to skip all the sessions. The Chicago hotel bar in 199?8 was just great.
