Wow that is...that is real bad. The Wavell article, I mean. I am honestly a bit confused as to how a pitch that adds up to "the British Indian Army was fantastic and to be emulated without alteration" made it past the pitch stage.

Yeah agreed. To be fair to Wavell Room, though, this piece was written by a historian who on paper should be a credible source. Any historian who specializes in COIN/imperialism, though, would spot the problems immediately.
