I, and the eight notebooks currently sitting on my dining room table, would like to suggest that the ritual can still be *done* even if it is not *strictly necessary*. Now, whether it is *wise*, that is another question... but what is wisdom, in 2020?
Rituals I miss because of COVID: buying a fresh box of red grading pens at the start of each semester.

I have a strong preference for the Uniball roller pens (0.5mm); I always have a boxes of black, blue and red on my desk. I find they write more easily than most kinds of ballpoints.
