The C&C remaster reminding me of things you could do in the wild-west days of game design that you could probably not get away with now: a mission where the briefing is garbled, so the actual objective is concealed.

I suppose a lot depends on one's tolerance for some of the pathfinding and the unit-stutter when giving orders. I had to unlearn a lot of my SC2 muscle memory in terms of clicking.

Yeah. The stupid AI, the lackluster balancing, the awkward mission design...My nostalgia just didn't carry me through. I chuckled through the mission briefing, but...simply not enough.
