I tweet a lot about my research and writing process. Yes, it’s helpful because I don’t frequently talk to other humans. I tend to use it for community and for accountability. Also, beyond my family (which I never tweet about) I don’t have much else going on.

For sure. For me in the Adjunct Wastes, not having face-to-face teaching contact, or conversations in the hallways - it's really isolating, especially since adjuncts are often halfway out of the department anyway.
