I want this analysis on Stellaris
Yeah, I've played, I think, every Paradox game since HoI2. I have scattered thoughts on Stellaris, but nothing cohesive enough yet to write on. Earlier builds incentivized more imperial/federal structures, but it is clear player response has caused a drift away from that.

Would you agree that better internal politics i.e empires facing more issues from resource extraction the bigger they get would create a better and/or more representative game?

deeply saddens me to see how much the player base hates sectors because that kind of subdivision is a key part of basically every science fiction I'm familiar with and it ruins a great opportunity for more internal politics

My personal solution would rely more on giving planets more autonomy but just me
