Yeah, it'll upset people, but I have to say, I think - looking at where the decisive margins were - it seems fairly clear to me that Bernie would have lost. It might have been close, but I think he would have ended up short.

Hard to evaluate the counter-factual, but the decision to go with the most conservative possible choice (in terms of risk, not necessarily ideology) is hard to argue with given these margins.
