Even then, I think it is fairly easy to argue that the United States was uncommonly fortunate in the outcome of our revolution in terms of having an intact country (albeit with rather less liberty for some). I wouldn't want to roll the dice again.

In your initial retweet you didn't qualify the type of violent revolution you consider bad. Also, UK could hardly be called a foreign government, given it was the founder of the Colonies and most inhabitants came from it.
