It was weird doing canvassing/phoning over the past few years and realizing I was now the annoying salesperson calling/knocking random people, and it was weird how much information on people the campaigns could get.

If you haven't done anything like that, campaigns do try to get that information, but are nowhere near perfect. (And I have gotten some calls, texts, and such. Plus a Trump fundraising letter for some reason a couple days after dropping off my ballot.)
