Apologies to my first CVECHS US History classes who had to take the semester 1 final from hell because a bunch of people cheated and I was hurt.

I think the biggest change I am making for next semester is looking at the viability of shifting to entirely open-book exams. Since most course-website software can do time limits, you can do a really decent open-book at-home exam without too much trouble, methinks.

Yep - I had a few profs do this back when I was an undergrad. And just with email! I’d rather have them write an essay in which they tell me what they learned and how that knowledge does something for their lives. They still have to reference primary sources though!
