financing a war? i don't know about your students, but it's a topic that seems to make contemporary leaders uncomfortable. though i guess that too, like farming, falls under the logistics umbrella.
For years I've thinking 'but how are they *feeding* all those sumbitches??' as the TV shows another vast army minus baggage train sweeping over desolate moor. So both logistics and farming posts leave me validated and educated!
I love logistics! A friend (then a teacher in Australia) used to promise his 5th graders a lecture on Byzantine Hagiography if they were good all school year. Apparently it sounded mysterious enough that it worked.
