I mean, in some cases, it may have - especially if you account for inflation. I just didn't have that data to hand. It's actually really surprising to me, given that these are public institutions, how little data has been gathered and processed on their costs.

A friend of mine PhD was headed for a life of adjunct slavery - luckily he got a job in the private sector. Another w crushing debt. Unis imo are dens of usury - chock full of Pharisees - & shd be burnt to the ground.

From my research I know that professor pay in the University System of Maryland has stayed consistent with inflation since the early 1980s. Tuition, room and board, and fees have increased a lot (forget exact percentages here) with regard to inflation during that time.
