Yeah, the negative effects that I think adjunctification have deserve their own thread - it just isn't possible to talk about them inside of another topic (that was long enough). But I do think adjunct-burn-out has a real, meaningful negative effect - alongside other problems.

Oh for sure. I know I wasn’t at my best when I taught a class for the CC after a full day of teaching HS. I think the real skitchy part for me is around the “experience” piece of the argument. But, as you say, adjunctification needs it’s own 41-tweet thread.

Clearly though, this point was less clear. Alas twitter's lack of an edit function. I am rather amused by how many retweet-comments assume I am tenure-track. Not sure if I should laugh or cry at that.
