Indeed, the video is great in that it outlines both the benefits and perils of using history to inform strategic thinking - any kind of strategic thinking! Not just military! After all, as citizens, we all need to think strategically when we vote and participate politically!
I also wish I had this video when I made my case for the Humanities (https://acoup.blog/2020/07/03/collections-the-practical-case-on-why-we-need-the-humanities/ …), because in many ways it makes the case for history in particular within the humanities very well.
