Not as of yet. Right now, I accept donations just in the form of Patreon...and I suppose TT jobs, should anyone happen to have one lying around (::crickets chirp::). Worth a try! I may look into a tip jar in the future, but right now I'm focused on the start of the semester.

Can you think of any modern farming innovations that would have been easily portable to pri-modern farms? Not just techniques that would improve yields without much extra effort, but also those that are legible to the farmers, who could be convinced to adopt them?

Very much enjoying this series. Just to note that "stubble burning" was a familiar sight in the UK when I was younger, although I think it has now been prohibited.

Wonderful writing as always. Assuming predominant usage of spring v. winter wheat varied geographically, for spring wheat locales, would the winter months still be considered a time of want? Wouldn't they be more of a time of plenty compared to summer (furthest from harvest)?

Yes. It's a question of harvest cycles. That said, my information on seasonal mortality data mostly comes from Roman Egypt (Egypt being the part of the Roman world for which we have the best data by far), so there might be quirks of other regions we can't see (or I don't know).
