I must be the wrong audience for this because every time someone tells me this or that speech/monologue from an Aaron Sorkin show is great or profound, I find it just sort of falls flat for me. I didn't watch the show though. Maybe it works in context?
Standing alone, it's one of these bits that treats pointing out the existence of the "problem of evil" as a mic-drop moment...but monotheistic religions have been addressing that problem in a lot more depth since at least the Book of Job (c. 6th cent, maybe?).
Big crescendo moments from this show tend to require total buy-in, which very few new viewers in 2020 are ever especially likely to offer
It really has to be contextualised as what it is: him wanting to beat the shit out of his god for killing Ms. Landingham (car crash). Recontextualised, it's his understandably angry and human response to the violent and mean death of someone close to him.
