I - what? This made me literally walk over and check my Rosenwein. It practically never gets out of the greater Mediterranean world. How do you even teach the European middle ages without Byz + Near East? "Here is my history of Christendom, 550-700
1292-1452" wtaf.
(To be clear, I do not think you could teach a 'History of the Christian World' well on those date brackets without the Near East or the Byzantine Empire either.)
