My post on the value of the humanities seems to have brought out at least a few STEM commenters with the self-disproving argument that science-aptitude is the only form of intelligence - an argument you can only make if you lack all of the other forms.

I don't think you should be throwing stones there - I don't really disagree with you on humanities value, but one thing that really did come across from the post is that you really don't understand stem thinking, although you do appreciate the products it gives.
But that's my point, isn't it? I am not a scientist or an engineer, but I am perfectly willing to concede that both have access to a form of knowledge that has value - and yet there are a great many of them who are not willing to concede the same in return.
