Why do people care/ask for followers? Sincere question. Maybe it’s me but I could care less about my # of followers. Is it a popularity contest?
Because I didn't spend years training as a historian so that I could hoard all of the history knowledge and methods for myself. The whole point is finding people who are interested in that and sharing it with them - and hopefully making for a wiser public, overall.
