Update! We are now in the Second World War; currently (1,940 as I write this) the Battle of Britain is raging, while Chinese counterattacks against the Imperial Japanese Army are sadly stalling out.

Update! The Cold War is afoot as we enter the Eisenhower years. In the current year (1,957 followers), Ike sent a note to congress committing the US to intervene in the Middle East if it became necessary, a cold war policy with post-cold-war ramifications

I enjoy the optimism that we will get to 2021. At the current rate, I think we have at least six more plagues to go through before 2020 is out. On the upside, I'm not a firstborn, so I should make it through the last plague in one piece.
