So, 1) a 14th century knight saying there's no place for God on a battlefield is pants-on-head-silly but 2) The 'no need to talk honor, you are here' is a good echo of a common trope of ancient battle speeches, "brave men require few words."
I generally really liked Outlaw King though, even if it plays fast and loose with a lot of the history.
Fair! The second one is The Last Kingdom, S01E08, before the Battle of Ethandun. It's works well plot wise because Alfred the eye-rollingly pious unexpectedly takes his general's advice and gives a more...earthy pre-battle speech than usual.
"Today is a day for warriors. A day to make the pagans wish they'd never heard of Wessex. Why are the pagans here? They want your wives for your pleasure. Your children for their slaves. But they do not know us."
