I actually wasn't surprised. While a great many decent people are interested in historical arms and armor, there is also a chunk of white nationalists who like to use ancient or medieval European symbols, including weapons, trying to appropriate them for their garbage ideology.

It also does not surprise me that the 'sword' he used is an ahistorical prop-replica. Actual historical investigation is not generally the strong-suit of the white-nationalist wanna-be-crusader crowd, as it tends to expose them to unpleasant (for them) historical truths.

Up to, but not limited, to First Nazis falsifying research to "prove" their ideology, you mean? (Re origins of Aryan race; linguistic theories, the whole Race theory details being wrong...)

I was surprised bc most of the white supremacists LARPing as heroes can only manage guns bc they're not very fit. Bow & sword are advanced. Also disappointed that sword guy has more than avg. education.
