Not to take a joke too seriously, but "War has been indefinitely furloughed" - I caution. The Antonine Plague didn't stop the Marcomannic War. Plague of Justinian didn't stop the Byz-Sassanid war. The Black Death(!!) didn't stop the HYW. War and Plague are not mutually exclusive
Been hearing a fair bit of 'well at least we won't have a war' said with varying degrees of seriousness. But, alas, it isn't so.
