@BretDevereaux Did you, by any chance, take Latin in high school? And if so, did your Latin teacher make you watch A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum because, well, what other movies are they gonna put on in a Latin class?
I did take Latin in high school. We did not watch any movies. The program was, in theory, oriented towards the AP Latin (Vergil) exam, so we moved pretty relentlessly. Not that I got as much out of it as I could; I was honestly a poor student in high school.

You will probably enjoy the movie if you watch it. It was presented as an example of a Greek comedy in a theater class I took.
