Just finished edits on a coauthored article with @medievalguy guy on the Battle of Pydna (168 BC), where Rome finally broke Antigonid power and ended Macedon as a serious military player. Classic legion vs. phalanx battle. It’ll appear in an upcoming issue of @ancientwarfare.

Oh, absolutely agree. Just noting that opinions vary - and that the lacuna in Livy (and the absence of Polybius) is still quite frustrating, for such an important event. At least Plutarch seems to be working with a source for once, instead of just winging it.
