Just finished edits on a coauthored article with @medievalguy guy on the Battle of Pydna (168 BC), where Rome finally broke Antigonid power and ended Macedon as a serious military player. Classic legion vs. phalanx battle. It’ll appear in an upcoming issue of @ancientwarfare.
Exciting! Pydna is difficult. Frustrating source tradition for such a crucial battle. A lot depends on how you read it. I've heard scholars declare it 'unreconstructable' which is, I think, a bit too pessimistic.

It is eminently reconstrucable. Mike and I even came up with a new location.

Like most battles I analyze, it looks strange until the location gets cracked … then everything makes sense.
