I am profoundly uninterested in the Democratic Party triangulating its policy positions, on the basis of Trump's stupidity and deference to authoritarian leaders, in ways that amount, at least rhetorically, to "we are the war party that America REALLY needs."
Fair - but hard to do, since any kind of careful calibration of foreign policy by democratic candidates tends to get read as 'weakness' or 'softness' (this despite the fact the Democratic doves always seem to turn into hawks once elected...)
