So wash your hands for yourself. But if sick, quarantine for the community. Cancel events for the community. Reconsider travel for the community. Be generous to employees/students, for the community. The phalanx is only as strong as its weakest member.

isn’t this precisely why everyone who has them ought to wear masks? the argument government is making is only the sick ought to wear them to protect others, but that’s precisely how this is spreading so quickly - people don’t realize they have it!
Culturally this is exactly why wearing masks while sick is socially acceptable in southeast Asia, protecting community when you are sick, not yourself. Keep in mind that disease literacy in Asia is significantly lower on average than America or the EU, and yet this is the case.
