Oh, that feeling of seeing a bunch of hits on your blog from the course-website-system of a university whose job you applied for that 110% ghosted you I don't think I have a right to any particular job, but if my stuff was good 'nuff to assign, maybe I was good 'nuff to talk to?

For the curious, wordpress lets me see where at least some of the link-clicks to that bring people to my website are coming from (where they clicked the think). I think a lot of browsers disable this (?) - I only see referrers for a fraction of the total hits.

But it meant that I could see the roughly class-sized set of hits over just a few days referred from behind the login-wall of the course-website-system (one of the major ones used by many universities, but URL makes clear which one). Not hard to figure out what that might mean.

And again - they don't owe me anything. Depts make hiring decisions for all sorts of reasons and I refuse to take that personally. But if I'm going to keep producing the material they're evidently using, I do need a job in the field. Y'know - the logistics of me needing to eat

And also I have zero problems with teachers at any level using anything I write. That's a big part of why I'm writing it! I want you to use it! And I want you to tell me about it! Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Seriously. Best feeling in the world.

But, you know, if I need a job...and you have a job and you need a teacher...and I am a teacher and my stuff is evidently already good enough that you *are using it even now*... Maybe we could solve each other's problems here? No? Guess not? Ok.
