God help me, I’ve really gotten into Dark Souls. I’m awful and die all the time, but I think this might be the attempt that sees me try to play through the whole damn thing.

Yeah, curse is not a great mechanic. Fortunately, it's pretty uncommon.

It's definitely unfair the first time you encounter it, but afterwards I find it adds an interesting additional tension to the sewer level. Even when you've become blasé about most enemies, basilisk always make you sweat a little. Now bonewheels, on the other hand...
