God help me, I’ve really gotten into Dark Souls. I’m awful and die all the time, but I think this might be the attempt that sees me try to play through the whole damn thing.

Gonna need some Sun Bro help with the gaping dragon, because that thing just whipped my ass (because I didn’t take out the damn caster before the battle uuuugh!)
So good news - the caster, once dead, does not respawn. But be careful with Gaping - the acid goo he can put down damages your equipment.

Oh, he dead now (the caster). But I stopped for the night after getting petrified/cursed by a basilisk and having to go hunt down a fresh 6000 souls to get a purifying stone

Yeah, curse is not a great mechanic. Fortunately, it's pretty uncommon.

I have to admit, Blighttown is about my least favorite spot. Bring that 100% poison-block spider shield if you've got it - you will need it.
