apart from covering up the initial outbreak, delaying it for critical weeks, then attempting a farcical cover-up of the death of one of the initial whistleblowers, who can deny that China has been a model of efficiency in dealing with the coronavirus?
I am struck by how much the current coverage assumes that all of the PRC's cover-ups are in the past now, and *now* we're getting the straight story and so official PRC numbers can be reported without comment as to their reliability.
