I’m interested in reading your thoughts. I felt JJ did some retconning that had to be done but reverted back to a style that was more event led rather than character led. Like comparing LotR to Game of Thrones. But, I’m an old LotR fan, so I have bias?
Saw #RiseofSkywalker . Was not impressed. What a disaster.
The Phantom Menace, and Last Jedi weren't great, but problems were self-contained to the specific film. But RoS aims to recontextualize the whole of the other two trilogies, in ways that strike me as completely negative.
