So, I see @DeptofDefense pushing back on the Chosun Ilbo report that we're moving troops out of Korea, declaring that SecDef Esper has no such plans and reiterating our commitment.
And that would comfort me more, except wasn't DOD blindsided by the Syria withdrawal?
Forgive me, but while I'm sure that's an accurate description of department policy, I don't think anyone is worried what Esper might suddenly do, with no reason, warning, forethought or consideration after a brief phone-call with a foreign leader. They're worried about his boss.
