I should note in talking about longest major bulk goods route, I'm leaning heavily on 'major' - amphora from *everywhere* in the Roman world show up in all kinds of crazy places, probably after making multiple hops to get there.

But that trade network is very reliant on favorable waterways - The Mediterranean, and major rivers punching inland from it create a vast common for trade in the Roman world that Westeros just doesn't have - no inland sea and all of the rivers point away from trade partners.
