There's a sort of choice in games that's not really a false choice, per se, but clearly engineered to be one by making one option really tempting and the other option really boring.
As an example of this - Total War: Three Kingdoms has these choices where option 1 is "do something stupid (follow the story)" and option 2 is "do the smart thing/nothing." The implication is that CONTENT is being held hostage to having you do the stupid (but historical) thing.
