@BretDevereaux I read with much interest your posts about the logistics for the siege of Gondor. Do you have any books on the logistics of warfare you would recommend? Or something in the same vein as the posts you wrote?
There are quite a few great logistics studies, as you might imagine. For ancient armies, the standard works are: (for the Romans) Roth, 𝘓𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘈𝘳𝘮𝘺 𝘢𝘵 𝘞𝘢𝘳 (1999) and Erdkamp, 𝘏𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 (1998).
