It's a fantastic show. I don't think it quite matches Bebop, but then I prefer Bebop's jazz/noir aesthetic better (but then, I'm a sucker for a Yoko Kanno soundtrack - she was doing GotS:SAC and Wolf's Rain at this time, both of which are also fantastic).

Oh, yeah, Cowboy Bebop is doing something totally singular and this pretty obvious attempt to make genre-fusion lightning strike twice isn't *quite* as good. But it's still goddamn great in its own right.

Is Wolf's Rain one I should do? I'm already working through SAC, which doesn't have me by the throat just yet but is still very good.
