Wasn't it the Democrats and the left who proclaimed morals couldn't be legislated? This isn't a political problem! This is a cultural, societal, and medical problem.

THE FBI IS EXPOSED AS TRYING TO OVERTHROW A PRESIDENT AND YOU WANT US TO GIVE UP OUR GUNS? LOL. I DON'T THINK SO...
-
Now my guess is that probably close to 65 to 70% of Americans think Congress should be doing more to prevent mass shootings - BY BANNING
#psychotropic MEDS AND CLEANING UP THE FBI. That's a lot of your 77%, Mr Baier.@POTUS - 1 more reply

It’s not Trump’s fault that Congress is not doing enough.
-
Yes it is. His party, the one he is the leader of, controls every branch of gov't. It's completely his fault.
-
You think these problems just started? What did the last 2-3 administrations do to secure safety for these soft targets?
-
Obama passed a law which banned mentally ill people from purchasing guns. Trump repealed it last year, right before the Florida shooter bought his guns.
-
That’s wrong. It has to do with Medicaid and older people. Cruz was never officially declared mentally ill anyway. Law enforcement and the school dropped the ball

As a rancher, you know predators look for the easy target!

Example: PEPPER SPRAY CAN BE VERY EFFECTIVE IF AN ATTACKER IS HIT FROM 3 OR 4 DIRECTIONS. IT WILL ABSOLUTELY DISTRACT HIM FROM WHAT HE WAS DOING AND BUY CRITICAL TIME! SAME WITH TASERS AND ALSO HIGH DECIBEL ACOUSTIC DEVICES, HIGH LUMEN LIGHTS, ETC.
-
All that stuff is not any good if the attacker has a raffle and he has some distance between you and him. What is effective is armed personnel in the school.
-
A guy with a rifle and distance may not be a threat - yet! And rifle beats pistol any day at a distance! This is why you need a variety of options to include ballistic glass, hardened doors, etc.
-
I can vote for that.
-
What is really needed is layered security using a robust combination of active, passive, and human measures with the keys being surveillance, early threat ID, isolating the threat, rapid and forceful response, neutralization, securing the threat, handover to law enforcement.
