This is a big deal and will have repercussions that will likely play out next week at UNGA - and maybe before the midterms.https://twitter.com/DPAQreport/status/1043365279080820736 …

China just cancelled the last chance to negotiate before Trump's tariffs hit Monday. American biz groups here react, urging Trump to fix it: “This is brinkmanship that benefits no one." https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/china-cancels-trade-talks-with-us-as-new-trump-tariffs-loom/2018/09/21/c36138ac-be16-11e8-97f6-0cbdd4d9270e_story.html?utm_term=.03e8229f658f …

Everything happening in this unlikely presidency is a big deal, Brett. This country was headed in the wrong direction & would have gotten “progressive”ly worse had Hillary won. Tough issues are being met head on by Trump. That is why we sent him to fix the mess! Not always pretty

This is war in the modern era. US consumers must toughen up and bite the bullet if prices go up. However big tech companies have been supporting the Communist for the last 10 to 15 years. Google is the biggest problem bc they are fascists anti-American

It's called negotiating. Something the US is not used to under previous inept leadership. Let the man do his job. These countries need us way more than we need them. I'm tired of the American workers getting screwed! You ever bought car? You have to be willing to walk away!

First - this is the WaPo, hence I question the credibility of this report. Second, these are tough negotiations and no one should expect them to be resolved soon as we have allowed China to abuse us for years! Keep watching!

Unless trade rules are level between US & China US will become wholly dependent on China for everything except food+energy & unable to sustain itself unless it obeys China. If you don't think "free trade" is hurting US re rust belt, broken homes, drugs addition, crime, look again

The US government should tax big tech companies 75% of their profit unless they start investing back into this country. Why doesn't Amazon give back to this country don't tell me it does because it does not.

Big tech and other companies are worth more then some countries. We need them to reinvest in America not build up China. It'd be nice to see one company invest in building schools hospitals libraries and community parks. How about an amazon national Highway

The loss of American manufacturing jobs and theft of intellectual material have all contributed to the mantra of the rich get richer and poor get poorer!I would rather pay more for US made goods than help a country whose goal is to dominate us.

Right because when the next recession hits, Americans will be happy to have to pay $20 for a pack of Bic pens because our President doesn't understand the difference between trade and budget deficits.
