At the time of tweet-Ds argued that they needed more documents to make an informed decision. Rs argue that all the Bush papers that crossed Kavanaugh’s desk as staff Sec aren’t fair game. Obviously he has a lot of written opinions -But D’s clearly are using the argumenthttps://twitter.com/greta/status/1037338991949963266 …

Yes, both D’s and R’s on the Com have already made up their minds...but the American people should hear from the nominee directly and even see all the documents, including the ones withheld https://twitter.com/BretBaier/status/1036983536509771783 …

The Ds as you call them -- liberal Dems are using what they don't have to obstruct. They have 480,000 docs which is more than enough. How many Dems have read all the 480,000 -- my guess N O N E! Get on with it and confirm this highly qualified nominee! Stand up USA to liberals.

1/This isn't about trying to evaluate Kavanaugh's qualifications. It is a quixotic attempt on the part of rabidly partisan Democrats to block a well qualified nominee. Reid made the Democrats' bed when he changed Senate rules, so now Schumer will wear the hair shirt.

We are asking for a stately process with open, honest discussion of all the information available, or concrete reasons why that information cannot be made available. That is what deliberative bodies are supposed to do. Late night document dumps do not fall under that rubric.

If you can't see that asking for more documents is just a dem ploy to delay the hearing, then I suspect much of what happens in this hearing will go unnoticed or misunderstood by the same people.
