The #Charles Krauthammer News is devastating. A brilliant man who went through so much physical and mental pain during his life. Over 40 years as a paraplegic, he fought and overcame it. Being a psychiatrist I’m sure helped. 1/4

2/4 His accident didn’t slow him down much. He was changed professions from medicine to journalism a tremendous, prolific writer. He became a husband, father and a political genius. Loved his work on Fox. His illness was so secretive, I thought it might have been a heart problem
-
3/4 Or a physical problem due to his many years of paralysis. Cancer diagnosis floored me like I’m sure it floored everyone today. Keeping with his mastery of the English language his written word, his goodbye note was beautiful and so sad.

4/4 There is a special place in heaven for you Charles where you are walking and running with the angels. You will never miss another Nationals again.

It is not surprising that
#Krauthammer would reveal this news with the same strength & resolve that has guided him his entire life. A man of great insight who has taught us to be rational and to take on whatever the world tosses at us (as w/his being inj in college) with grace - 1 more reply

I loved how he always reserved chips for “wine, women and song” in the 2016 Candidate Casino segments on Special Report.

I hesitate to say anything. I thought Charles to be one of the most brilliant and likeable people on the planet so I know whatever I have to say would not measure up to what he deserves

“You look like a liberal,” he said when I told him my father was a huge fan and asked him for a photo on 24th and M streets in DC a few years ago. Because it brought my dad such joy, it will always be my favorite celebrity selfie.pic.twitter.com/UgucFdjpFS
