They banned him for spewing hate speech, he threatened to kill a federal official. He got what he had coming. This isn't censorship, this is someone who broke the rules of the websites multiple times.

Really? Like beheading the president? I find InfoWars to be way off on a lot of its info but if you're going to talk about spewing hate, you need to sweep off your own front porch before cleaning off others'.

I'm a very outspoken liberal, but even I agree this is a problem. We as a people can't shut people up just because we don't like what they say. I personally do not support Alex or InfoWars, but his ban opened the door for people to destroy other people's basic rights.

Well said. Who’s next?

Private global tech companies are not covered under the constitution. Global entities have destroyed the constitution since the internet was created in the late 90's. AI can't be stopped. The founding father's never knew that tech could destroy a document. Welcome to
#Agenda33 -
They are not private, they're funded through In-Q-Tel, a CIA Venture Capital Firm which uses our tax dollars. This is a 1st Amendment issue &
@TheJusticeDept must be involved. The politicalization of our intelligence & FBI puts our Republic in grave dangerhttps://theintercept.com/2016/04/14/in-undisclosed-cia-investments-social-media-mining-looms-large/ … -

Infowars isn't being censored, WE ALL ARE! Be loud. Be aggressive. Be ungovernable, or your children will live in a world devoid of life. This isn't about liking 3D guns or Alex Jones, this is about demanding respect as a free born human.

Alex Jones is a conservative & Big tech accounts for 90% of all internet communication so they are not just “private companies”. Today in 2018 most communication is done online so this is Soviet style silencing of speech they hate.

I agree with you on this. Suppression of speech is dangerous.
-
Is the government suppressing his speech? No? Then it's not a free speech issue. Y'all love the free market until it doesn't give you what you want. If you want to give more of the craziest of your crazies a voice, start your own company.
-
The government is responsible to prevent suppression of free speech in society regardless if it's a government entity or private. Basic civics.

I'm a longtime critic of
@newsbusters but I agree ENTIRELY with you in this case. Those who are stupid enough to laugh at this because they, like both of us, dislike the work of Infowars will soon experience Iraq-style "blowback." -
There’s never a stopping point on the slippery slope of leftism. It ends all the way down at the bottom, and nobody likes what they see when we get there.
