Will BAT work in a scenario where people read books for hours, but no ad is shown to them?

BAT is not only or necessarily about ads. Right now in Brave, no ads option yet (limited user trial going on via custom build, triple opt in). Yet BAT flows to over 17K creators, based on attention metrics w/o ads. Try it!

It is a different market structure now, hard to say. Putting the user in the economic loop to cut out intermediaries is helpful (Firefox eventually got stuck vs Chrome; Google used to target Chrome search ads at Fx users accidentally [or not]). BAT user growth pool is invaluable.
