...b/c what folks overlook in thinking things will improve by quelling protests or increasing the police state to maintain order is that the economic collapse, climate disasters & pandemic are X factors the failing state can’t handle. That’s what will ultimately buckle the system
Indeed - America has been staving off the apex of total socioeconomic collapse for the last 15 years. The Pandemic simply expedited the process. While Wall Street booms, our economy is no where near healthy.
As this issue impacts further, and more individuals feel the sting of economic strife; the unrest will only grow. What is particularly awful about this in the US however is the fractal nature of our Social Structure. The xenophobic tendencies of our people are showing true.
It is astonishing to watch from afar a failing State in real time.
