There is no clearer case for Universal Healthcare than these deaths from Coronavirus. At some point it can no longer be seen as anything other than America deciding to allow ppl to die when they have a chance not to.

The first thing Washington State did was reopen the healthcare exchange until April 1 in an effort to get as many people insured as possible. But no one should be turned away from a medical care facility, no matter what.

Reminds me of the quote post-Sandy Hook - paraphrasing - once we decided killing children was not going to make real, necessary change, all Hope was lost. I hate to be a cynic but it’s so eerily similar here it hurts.
