why cook them without a non stick pan? Btw cook the bacon first and then cook the eggs in the grease.

I found if I let the pan get really hot before putting the eggs in, they don't stick as badly.
-
That's a key for a lot of cooking, tbh Oh - and butter - lots of glorious butter
-
I thought the butter was implied. My bad.
-
D'oh - my bad - of course it was implied!

I’m in my sixties and neither can I. It can not be done (unless in a cast iron well seasoned). Lessons for life.
-
One can "baste" fried eggs in a layer of bacon grease in ANY pan. The trick is not to try and turn the eggs over. The well seasoned cast iron works for scrambling and frying.
-
. Yes. True. But we’re trying not have a heart attack before lunch. Delicious though. -
So, you don't have bacon with your eggs?!
The eggs don't soak up any grease by the way.
-
My mom made them this way. She called them dirty eggs. Delicious. I either bake the bacon on a wire rack/cookie sheet now to let the fat drain away. Or microwave if in a hurry.

Anyone who challenges fried egg prep deserves a follow.

It's really the only food that cannot properly be cooked in any other pan. You're fine :)

I heat up the oil a bit and sprinkle a little salt in the pan. It works everytime for me.
